Finally! Race day is here!

Our season started off in North Battleford in the last weekend of May.
Both Kris and Aric (rookie driver and outrider) were more than ready to get rid of the butterflies that had been hanging around for the week or so prior! The first and second day were a little unsettling... new horses, new wagons, rules, etc but both Kris and Aric had a good clean run on the third day!
Kris ended up getting more than his fair share of media attention that weekend - radio and televeision interviews each day - nerve wracking to say the least! Check out the CPCA Racing homepage to see one of the televised interviews....
Our Barn Crew was instrumental in helping us get the horses ready to run and keeping everything running smoothly... what an awesome group to travel with We are all headed to Yorkton, Saskatchewan this weekend for three days of action packed racing!

2011 spring training at Circle M

Well spring has finally come to stay and spring training is in full swing! We spent last weekend at the track hooking horses and figuring out who belongs where... so far so good!!
The horses are in fantastic shape and are feeling good... rearing, running and bucking are regular occurances in the corral.
The CPCA Lloyd Finals Tarp Auction on April 13th was a success with Kris getting the sale high-bid of $10,500 from our long-time sponsor Diamond Drill, LTD. We are so thankful for their continued support!
We are set to run at North Battleford on May 27-29 for the first race of the season... tune in to NEWCAP Radio on May 28 for an interview with Kris during the CPCA broadcast that night.
The kids and I have been hitting up jackpots this month. Tommy and I placed third in the 1D at the Crossroads Centre in Oyen on May 7th... certainly can't complain about that!
